MY RELIGION

(by jann c castor 26th of october 1998)

We hide
seeking protection

We cry seeking compassion
We die hoping we will thrive on sacred soil

like plants we water
all encumbrances we know

trust
or rancor

rest
or dismay

throw away the books of dogma
do it now!

let your spirit speak
without unease
even if your purpose does not quench your thirst!

seek thirst, not water.
